Stephen Shelley

Stephen Shelley is man who has traveled most of his life.  He has visited all fifty states, living in ten of them! Before coming on the mission field, Stephen was a Bible College graduate at Point University in West Point, GA.

In 2014, Stephen launched on his World Race.  During his race, Stephen visited Guatemala, working in Guatemala City with the homeless community.  In January 2016, after his World Race, Stephen came to the Adventures Guatemala base as an intern for 4 months before moving to Antigua Guatemala in January 2017 to join our staff.

Stephen is a gifted communicator as both a worship leader and teacher.  A gifted guitarist, Stephen leads from a place of intimacy with God, ushering in a space for people to connect with the Holy One.  Stephen's heart is to empower Guatemalans to walk out their calling in the kingdom of God. A former college basketball player, Stephen has had the opportunity to use his basketball skills to make connections with Guatemalan athletes in the greater Antigua area.

He is also a big fan of Parks and Rec, all you can eat chicken wings, and has a first degree black belt in Taw Kwon Do. His kicks are number one.
