Kellie Surratt is a woman who knows what’s up.

Raised in Morganton, North Carolina, Kellie loved to play in the woods, sing in choirs, and participate in gymnastics.

She attended Pfeiffer University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in Human Services with a minor in Child Psychology. After graduating, she served as a missionary in the Cayman Islands for a year and saw a revival spark throughout the nation that showed her the tangible power of God.

In the years that followed, Kellie worked as a family counselor for juvenile delinquents in North Carolina. In 2011, God began to stir her heart for Guatemala. She launched on the World Race in January 2013 as a member of second generation O squad. Kellie spent a month of the Race serving in Guatemala. During that time, God gave her a tremendous love for Mayan widows. He continued to stir in her a passion for Guatemala.

In His faithfulness, God opened all the right doors, and Kellie joined long-term staff with Adventures Guatemala two years later in April 2015. She passionately serves as our Base Director.

In her free time, Kellie enjoys traveling, snorkeling, reading, and hiking.
